Anyone else out there like Henry Kaiser? This was recently uploaded and sounds good:
http://www.archive.org/details/kaiser1990-01-07.sbd

It led me to a blog which catalogues all his releases as well as a lot of unreleased stuff:
http://thehenrykaisercollection.blogspot.com/

The blog includes a lot of full length samples, including three more terrific Dark Stars. And it included a reference to Kaiser's and Weir's Valentines project, here on archive, about which I'd forgotten:

Yeah every once in a while, usually when I have nothing in my download queue (VERY rare), I'll see a Kaiser torrent pop up and I'll grab it. I've also streamed one or two things from here in the last year or so.

It's often a refreshing change from the usual stuff I listen to, and often surprisingly really good. There's one on here, forget the date, but it's just all long jams, I need to dig it up. I would encourage anyone to try some of his stuff out if you're looking for something just a little bit different from the norm.

The last Kaiser thing I downloaded was this. The 23 minute "Other One" track has some nice jams.

13. I'm So Glad... (James) 6:08

Total time: 1:37:34.745

Henry Kaiser, guitar
Tom Constanten, keyboards

Thanks yet again to T.C. for confirmation of the date, the line-up and
part of the setlist - less first two songs, on his website at
http://www.tomconstanten.com/base/1989%20TC%20Base%208.pdf. You
can find a higher generation recording of the same show on
archive.org (the date's wrong - http://www.archive.org/details/Kaiser1989-02-11.flac_,
missing the first song but not missing all the space between the songs this copy is
missing. Whoever I got the first generation recording from evidently cut out as much
of the between-song banter and space as they could...probably to fit as much as
possible on to a 90 minute cassette. The last part of I'm So Glad is spliced in
from the archive.org version.

I forgot to thank you for the link. That blog page of his stuff is an amazing resource. Good stuff.

Definitely grab that 12/15/88 set...I just pulled it out and it's some intense stuff. Same with that big jam from 2/12/89.
